Adelina Fontes

Adelina Tavares Fontes passed away peacefully in her home in Caruthers, CA on February 25, 2025. . She was deeply cherished by her community.

In 1949, she married Joseph Fontes, and together they built a life filled with love and devotion. Adelina worked as a bookkeeper for the family farm. After retiring she enjoyed traveling well into her 90s.

Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, and twin sister, Elvira Tavares. She is survived by her children, Michael Fontes (Cheryl) and Darlene Jansen; grandsons, John Fontes (Katherine) and Robert Jansen; and great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Preston, Easton, and Lucas Fontes.
