Betty Anne Collins, 77, of Reedley, passed away on Monday, November 13th, of natural causes.

Betty was born February 20th, 1946, to Alvin and Ruth Pinney in Long Beach, CA. After graduating from East Bakersfield High School in 1963, she went on to study Education at Fresno State University.

There, she met her husband, Joseph, with whom she had two sons, Matthew and Gregory.

After graduating with her teaching credential, she began a 38 year career as an educator in the Central Valley, spending 4 years teaching at the elementary school level and 34 years teaching special education. During this time, she made countless connections with students, families, caregivers, and coworkers. Following her retirement in 2010, Betty spent her time on the family farm with her husband and caring for her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her quick wit, kind heart, and devotion to her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents and oldest son, and survived by her husband, son, brother, sister, and granddaughters.

Services: The viewing will be 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the Thomas-Marcom Funeral Home in Selma on Wednesday, December 6th.

The rosary service will be at 12 pm the same day, followed by the funeral mass at 12:30, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Selma, with a reception afterwards.

The internment will be 12-12:30 p.m. at the Cayucos-Morro Bay Cemetery in Cayucos. There will be a small gathering at the family home in Cayucos afterwards.
