Carmen R Flores

Carmen R Flores, age 92 years of Selma, CA passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2023. 

Carmen was a blessing to all her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grand mother, siter, and aunt to many. She will be missed by all. She was regarded as a loving and caring lady and was loved and honored and respected by her family and friends. She will always be known and remembered for her love of gardening, especially her “roses”.  

Carmen was born in Holtville, CA and raised there and attended the schools there. The family moved to Reedley, CA and was part of the community until her marriage, then lived in Kings County for a few years before moving to Fresno County making it her permanent residency.  

Carmen is preceded by her husband Benigno P Flores, her son Peter Benigno Flores, her parents Luis Lara Garcia and Margaret Reyna Garcia, her brothers Vincent Garcia of Fresno, Manuel Garcia of Corcoran, Ysidro Garcia of Woodlake, Salvador Garcia of Indio and her nephew Manuel Garcia Jr. of Corcoran and great-niece Kayla Garcia of Corcoran, CA. 

Carmen is survived by her daughter Pauline Flores Tolentino, son Angel Luis Flores, her granddaughters Christina Hernandez and Jacquelyn Tovar and her great-granddaughters Joslyn, Jianna, Madison, Eve and her great grandson Baby Hernandez. Also, her sisters Ramie Bocanegra of Tulare, CA, Margaret Garcia of Corcoran, CA and Virginia Aguinaga of Reedley, CA, her sister-in-law luz Garcia of Corcoran, CA and brother Louis Garcia of Reedley, CA. Along with various nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

The family would like to acknowledge the out pour of sympathy, condolences and appreciate all the thoughtfulness and concern expressed by everyone.
