Carol Bettencourt

Carol Ann Bettencourt went home to be with her Heavenly Father on October 10, 2024, at 83 years old. She was born on May 5, 1941, in Fresno, California, grew up in the Laton farm community and moved to Selma, California at 18 years old. Carol was a long-time resident of McCall Village, was a devoted friend, and was loved by her family and all who knew her. Carol was preceded in death by her brother, John Bettencourt in 2022. She is survived by her brother Charles James, along with her nephew Jason James, and wife Brianna. She also survived by her nephew Christopher Bettencourt, and wife, Amber, as well as step-sister Anne French Bloodworth, and husband Don. A graveside service was held at Floral Memorial Cemetery in Selma, on Friday, October 18, 2024. Remembrances in her memory can be made to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church or Bethel Lutheran Home in Selma.
