Donna Jean Sons

Donna Jean Sons was born on June 29, 1933, and passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 21st, 2022. She was born the oldest of three children to Roberta and Edward Solomon and grew up near McFarland until she met her future husband, Hollis.

Donna Solomon was married to Hollis Sons on August 16, 1947, at a very young age. Together they raised two sons, David and Gary and purchased a home in the area of Jensen/Clovis where they resided most of their life.  Donna was a stay-at-home mother until the kids were older and then worked in the office of their self-owned construction business, they started in 1961. 

Donna loved to sew, paint and knit and after Hollis retired, they enjoyed a life of traveling and visiting various Countries around the world, they later purchased a RV and traveled throughout the United States and Canada. 

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Rod Solomon and her loving husband Hollis of over 70 years.  She is survived by two sons David and his wife Julie; Gary and his wife Olivia; a sister Fran Weaver, seven grandchildren April & Rich Bastress, Teresa & Tony Urrutia, Penny & Jeff Wilk, Dave and Rebecca Sons, Brandon Sons, Brittany Sons and Garrett & Vanessa Sons.  As well as eleven great grandchildren Logan, Audra, Samantha, Jacob, Sydney, Bradley, Mason, Layla, Andrew, Jessica and Harley.
