Leandro Badillo Jr.

Leandro Badillo Jr. was born on February 20, 1932. He completed his journey on this earth on July 29, 2022. 

Leandro was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years Maria Garza Badillo, his son Leandro Badillo III, parents Leandro Badillo Sr and Tomasa Badillo, three brothers, Carlos, Armando, Richard Badillo, two sisters, Hortencia Reyes, Ofelia Perez. He is survived by two sons Mario Badillo Sr, Ruben Badillo, four daughters; Dora Trollinger, Alice Juante, Diana Mokuahi, Susan Davis, he informally adopted son Paul Castanon, four sisters; Tomasita Sanchez, Juanita Berdanga, Ane Cardona, Gina Gamez, Pauline Mendez, 21 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren and 17 great great grandchildren. 

Leandro is a fourth-generation stone mason. He learned his trade at the age of 12. As his father taught him, he also taught his boys at about the same age. He always said, “I raised men”. His legacy continues today in his sons, grandsons and great grandsons, into the fifth, sixth and seventh generation. He was driven by his passion for flying and acquired his pilot’s license.  

His family will be forever grateful for the instilled traits of tenacity, ingenuity, and perseverance. Dad, you have fought the good fight… Rest in Peace.
