Nancy Bonilla
Nancy Jean Bonilla Passed away October 24, 2023 peacefully with family members by her side.
Nancy was born in Portland Oregon on February 3, 1943 to Merle and Jean Ellsworth. She met the love of her life, Joe Bonilla, while attending Oregon State. When it was time to leave college Joe asked Nancy “where do you want to move to Portland or Selma”? Her response was “I never want to see another drop of rain again in my life”, Hence, they moved to Selma Ca. Selma became their lifelong place of residence where they raised 4 kids. She loved her jobs as a teacher assistant at Indianola Elementary School and especially as the Selma High School Liberian. You could frequently bump into her and Joe on Sunday mornings having breakfast at Sal’s Mexican Restaurant.
She is survived by her husband Joe Bonilla, oldest daughter Nissa Lum married to Rick, oldest son Burke Bonilla married to Anna, younger daughter Toni Amador, and her baby as she would introduce him to everyone Buck Bonilla married to Rhonda. She also had 11 grandkids, Sierra Amador, Ryan Amador, Eric Amador, Rylee Corpus, Jake Bonilla, Taylor Bustamante, Brianne Bustamante, Jason Lum, Nikki Lum, Ellie Bonilla and Sam Bonilla along with 2 great grandkids Cassidy Lum and Kaylee Lum.
Viewing on November 16th 4-6, Rosary 6-7 at Thomas-Marcom Funeral Home.
Service at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on November 17th at 9 am.
Final Resting Soon After Service.
Reception to held at the Selma Bowling Alley 11am – 3pm
