Regino “Kino” Arevalo passed away peacefully in his sleep November 14, 2024 at the age of 86 in his Selma home surrounded by his children.
Kino is preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Rosemary Arevalo. He is survived by his five children, daughter Debbie, son Ray and his spouse Jerry, son David and his spouse Sarah, daughter Dolores and daughter Reychal and her spouse Jeremy; his 12 grandchildren; and his 13 great grandchildren.
Originally born in New Mexico to Regino and Louisa Arevalo, Kino later moved with his parents and siblings to California in the 1940's. He lived most of his life in Fresno and the surrounding areas, moving to Selma after Rosie passed in 2013.
Kino was a hard working man who spent over 25 years in the tire industry. He followed that with several years in the fencing industry as a salesman. He also drove truck locally before he retired.
Kino loved the outdoors and spent a lot of his retirement years fishing and camping, while pulling his trailer from place to place. His hobbies included woodworking and restoring and showing classic cars.
Kino was a loving husband and father who loved spending time with friends and family. A devote catholic, he lived his life in a manner that reflected his religious beliefs. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A funeral service is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on December 6, 2024 at The Shrine of St. Therese, 855 E Floradora Ave., Fresno, CA. 93728. Followed by a cemetery service at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery, 264 N Blythe Ave., Fresno, CA. 93706.
